Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Windham Hospital seeks a supervisory leader for the clinical laboratory. The role includes oversight of multiple sections, budget accountability, and collaboration with the Medical Director and leadership to implement regulatory-compliant test procedures.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or substantial oversight experience, 3+ years of lab work, and ASCP certification. Strong customer service and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or significant experience in area of oversight.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• Three (3) years previous technical experience in a clinical laboratory or equivalent.
• Five (5) years clinical laboratory and supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification in area of oversight required. ASCP (MT, MLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervisory oversight for a department of the clinical laboratory.
• Duties may include multiple departments and more than one location.
• Provides operational and technical oversight within these sections.
• Reports directly to the Manager of Laboratory Service and works closely with the Medical Director, and other supervisory team to modify test procedures and policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Participates in planning and execution of department projects and service goals.
• Assists in preparing and managing departmental budgets and monitors expenditures.
