Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Senior Clinical & Health Informaticist to drive informatics initiatives across the EHR and HIT landscape. You will independently analyze workflows, design solutions, and lead improvement efforts for safer, clinician-friendly technology.

As a liaison between clinical staff and IT, you will influence decision-making, manage complex projects and support implementation, training and adoption of EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated informatics experience with gap analysis, usability assessments and workflow analysis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize workflows to improve technology use by caregivers in an integrated health system.
• Build relationships with care-team members from diverse backgrounds.
• Work flex hours based on project needs and priorities.
• Apply change management and continuous improvement in projects and daily work.
• Independently prioritize and organize work with limited supervision.
• Use MS Office, email, internet and scheduling tools effectively.
• Engage clinicians through clear presentation and communication.
• Apply functional design methods and HIT fundamentals to assigned work.
• Analyze workflow data and literature to influence design and training.
• Understand security, compliance and HIT architecture in system design.
• Conduct on-site rounds across facilities to observe workflows and assist implementations.
