Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Senior Clinical & Health Informaticist to advance the Science of Informatics across the EHR and HIT initiatives. You will independently analyze workflows, design solutions, and support training and adoption to improve safety and clinician experience.

The role requires influencing clinical leaders, leading complex projects, and collaborating with Cerner/Epic environments while embracing continuous improvement and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated informatics experience performing gap analysis, usability assessments, problem definition and HIT optimization.
• Experience influencing clinical leaders, providers, nurses and clinicians in decision making.
• Apply informatics fundamentals (People, Process, Technology) to improve quality and safety.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects or initiatives with budget and outcomes goals.
• Experience with Cerner, Epic or other EHR vendors and HIT.
• Experience in Continuous Improvement and stakeholder relationship building.
• Ability to manage complex informatics portfolios across healthcare domains.
• Registered Nurse or other licensed clinical incumbent must hold current state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform workflow and system analysis for EHR and HIT initiatives.
• Lead design, configuration and implementation activities for software projects.
• Train, adopt and drive process improvements for clinical applications.
• Engage care teams and clinicians to ensure safety, usability and best practices.
• Observe workflows across facilities and collaborate with stakeholders during implementations.
