Job summary

Essex Management, an Emmes Company, seeks a Sr. Clinical Informatics Analyst to join IT Service Operations and Application Support in Rockville, MD.

This senior role supports enterprise and informatics software systems, coordinates help desk activities, and provides project admin support for cancer clinical trials and research. You will collaborate with investigators, biostatisticians, data managers, clinicians, informaticians, and IT staff, ensuring GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

• Experience supporting clinical research technology systems.
• Experience coordinating projects with investigators, clinicians, analysts, data scientists, or IT teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex systems and workflows.
• Proactive, positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investigators, biostatisticians, data managers, clinicians, informaticians, and IT staff to document, categorize, and track support tickets using an IT Service Management tool; respond to inquiries and resolve issues submitted to an ITSM system; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Provide real-time tier 1/2 technical and operational assistance to clinical trial sites, patients, and field staff via email, ticketing systems, and phone.
• Ensure all support interactions adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and study protocols.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple clinical research projects, tracking milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines.
• Serve as central coordination point among project leads, investigators, analysts, technical teams, and stakeholders.
• Support project leadership with clinical informatics reporting, dashboards, presentations, and briefing materials.
