Job summary

Henry Ford Hospital is seeking an Ethicist to lead and maintain an effective hospital ethics program, working with the Ethics Committee and managing the Ethics Consultation Service, under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinicians, executives, patients, and families, requiring strong leadership and ethics education delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in bioethics, JD, or MD with advanced graduate training/fellowship in Bioethics or Clinical Ethics
• Minimum 5 years of clinical ethics consultation experience
• Experience with hospital Ethics Committees and ethics education delivery
• Knowledge of healthcare ethics standards, healthcare law, regulations, and accreditation requirements
• Proficiency in ethics needs assessment, ethics process models, and resource management
