Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health seeks a Clinical Documentation Specialist to ensure the quality and completeness of medical records and to optimize documentation for accurate reimbursement. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and health information coding staff to support appropriate severity and coding for inpatient services.

Requirements include an RN license, BSN or higher preferred, and proficiency with EPIC EHR and Clintegrity CDE.

Qualifications

• EPIC EHR experience in an acute care setting.
• Clintegrity CDE software knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years as Clinical Documentation Specialist in an acute setting, preferably Level 1 Trauma Center.
• CDI subject matter expert for all payors and DRG groups (MS-DRG, APR-DRG, AP-DRG).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the overall quality and completeness of medical records.
• Document for all payor groups and all DRGs to support appropriate reimbursement.
• Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through concurrent interaction with physicians and care teams.
• Educate care team on documentation standards to improve outcomes and accuracy.
