Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a remote Clinical Documentation Specialist to ensure complete and accurate medical records for inpatient services. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and health information teams to optimize documentation and reimbursement.

The role requires 5+ years of CDI experience in acute care, CCS or CDIP preferred, and RN licensure with BSN preferred. Remote work with no travel expected, and access to high-speed internet is required.

Qualifications

• EPIC EHR experience.
• Clintegrity CDE software knowledge.
• 5+ years as Clinical Documentation Specialist in an acute setting.
• CDI subject matter expert for all payors and DRG groups (MS-DRG, APR-DRG, AP-DRG).
• PSI/HAC/HCC knowledge/experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall quality and completeness of medical records.
• Document modifications through concurrent physician/nursing collaboration.
• Support accurate reimbursement and clinical severity capture for inpatient services.
• Educate care team on documentation requirements and updates.
• Communicate with hospital staff via phone or email as needed.
