Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a data analytics professional to lead healthcare data projects remotely from Iowa or across the United States. You will manage multiple projects, collaborate with clients, and develop analytic solutions using population definitions and BI reporting tools.

The role requires a health-related bachelor's degree or RN, plus about two years of experience in healthcare data. A strong background in ECQM/quality metrics is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health-related fields or RN.
• 2 years of experience in health-related field.
• Experience with healthcare data in a healthcare organization strongly preferred; 2 years in ECQM and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects with little supervision.
• Leads evaluation of the request for service to understand business and technical issues.
• Collaborates with the client to understand business needs, scope, and deliverables.
• Leads ongoing interface with the client to develop analytic approaches.
• Develops population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends data-needs balancing considering urgency and action requirements.
• Understands requested data in context of other initiatives to develop sustainable solutions.
• Uses statistical techniques to describe/evaluate data and analyzes processes for reporting to management.
• Provides value-added analysis and recommended follow-up actions.
• Supports data integration from multiple sources into a single dataset for analysis.
• Leads review/validation of complex datasets.
• Prepares methods to deliver results meeting ongoing needs and facilitates data discussions.
• Develops simple to complex reports using BI tools.
• Educates clients on clinical/financial concepts and their relationship to data.
• Consults with clients to quantify key operational performance elements.
• Guides clients through data issues and data quality concerns.
