Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to join our outdoors-facing team in St. Louis, MO.

You will trim, prune, and remove trees, install cables and protective systems, and support ground crews while maintaining equipment in a safety-conscious environment. Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses on hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses/certificates if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using Davey climbing systems (DdRT/MRS, SRT/SRS).
• Work with ground crew and crew leader as an active team member.
• Perform pruning and removal work safely and skillfully for clients.
• Include pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain all tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
