The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our team. Your office is outdoors, and you will work with a crew to prune and remove trees, install support systems, and address hazardous trees while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using Davey’s DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the canopy; install cables, bracing, and lightning protection.
• Remove hazardous trees; maintain, prepare and operate tools incl. chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
