Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join an outdoor team and work on tree pruning and removal jobs. You will climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, coordinate with crew leaders, and perform safe, high-quality arborist work for clients across the US.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Preferred: Class A or B CDL.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb and prune/remove trees to protect health and safety.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood in the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain tools and equipment.
