Job summary

EnergyHub is seeking a Senior Client Success Manager to drive end-to-end client relationships across utilities and OEM partners. You will launch programs, maintain health, and collaborate with sales, product, engineering and marketing to optimize outcomes.

You’ll lead strategic initiatives, ensure program operations, and act as a trusted advisor to clients while empowering cross-functional teams to exceed goals and deliver value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in consulting, technology services or client success.
  • Experience in renewable energy, utilities, or grid services required.
  • Experience with demand side management and demand response programs.
  • Excellent communication of complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical, creative, and numbers-driven mindset.
  • Ability to build trust and strong client relationships.
  • Experience in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects.
  • Enterprise software/SaaS in energy space is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own client success for the Central Region, manage P&L, drive ARR beyond targets, and act as primary escalation point.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Work with Sales to implement new program structures, track renewals and upsells, report metrics.
  • Guide clients and internal teams, align on objectives, and capture voice of the customer.
  • Present results, facilitate meetings, and communicate nuanced messages to stakeholders.
  • Develop product knowledge and contribute to new features and service offerings; support negotiations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EnergyHub’s Client Success team launches and operates best-in-class programs for electric utilities, helping them address grid challenges by engaging customers with connected devices. As a Sr Client Success Manager on the Client Success team, you will be instrumental in helping EnergyHub, our utility clients, and our OEM partners achieve their goals. You will own the client relationship end-to-end, including supporting the launch of our programs, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and serving as a trusted partner to your clients and our sales, product, engineering and marketing teams to maintain account health.

This is an ideal job for someone who has a passion for working with clients and software products, exercises sound business judgment, possesses a keen commercial sense, and is an effective multi-tasker with great attention to detail. The successful candidate is a quick learner and self-starter, has the ability to communicate a variety of data-driven messages to varying audiences, can build relationships effortlessly, is client-focused, and consistently achieves results.

Overview

As a Senior Client Success Manager, helping our clients achieve their goals is your mandate. Your primary responsibilities will be managing the implementation of demand response programs across a portfolio of utility clients.

Responsibilities
  • Own success for your clients. Manage the Central Region’s P&L, drive ARR to exceed targets, implement account growth strategies, and serve as the primary escalation point for client issues.
  • Drive results and strategy. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and efficiency within the Central Region, lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure seamless program operations. Collaborate with Sales to implement new program structures, improve tools and processes, track renewals/upsells, and report on key utility program metrics
  • Be a trusted advisor who ensures we meet your clients and your team’s goals. Help the team manage internal expectations as well as those of our clients. Spend time to understand client objectives and help the team guide clients through key decisions to design programs that support these targets. Support Product and Marketing in capturing the voice of the customer and market feedback.
  • Be an effective communicator. Work with your team to present key results, facilitate meetings, and deliver nuanced messages to clients. Maintain consistent communication with an array of stakeholders to ensure efficient program implementation across the portfolio, review ongoing needs, and provide timely solutions and recommendations to help achieve program success. Foster effective decision-making and operational excellence by building relationships and helping internal teams understand priorities and business context.
  • Be a product and service expert. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of demand management, the drivers of program success, and a deep understanding of the product to effectively communicate capabilities to clients and shape program design. Actively contribute to the refinement and development of new product features and service offerings. Support contract negotiations between EnergyHub and utility clients, SOW negotiations with partners and development for end-use customers.

Key Skills & Experience
  • BS or BA degree and 5-7+ years of professional experience in consulting, technology services or client success
  • Experience working in or with renewable energy, utilities, and grid services or adjacent industries required
  • Experience with demand side management and demand response programs and implementation methods
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to describe complex and technical topics in an engaging and succinct manner
  • An analytical, yet creative and curious mind, with a confident approach to numbers and spreadsheets
  • The ability to build trust and outstanding client and partner relationships
  • Experience working with a team in a cross-functional, fast paced work environment
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects
  • Experience within an enterprise software/SaaS organization in the energy space is preferred

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
