Job summary

Barings in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Managing Director to lead client portfolio management for private credit. The role partners with investment teams, sales and clients to grow assets under management across portfolio finance, infrastructure debt, asset-based finance and more.

The incumbent will guide senior client relationships, develop product strategies, and mentor junior team members while traveling as needed to client sites and markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment management or private credit-focused roles.
• Strong grasp of market dynamics, portfolio strategy and risk factors.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary business development liaison for Barings private credit strategies in North America.
• Coordinate with investment teams, sales and clients to grow assets under management.
• Partner with investment teams to deepen expertise and support client interactions.
• Lead and develop junior members of the Client Portfolio Management team.
• Identify new product development and positioning opportunities for private credit.
• Create Thought Leadership materials with investment teams and Marketing.
