Job summary

Morrison Foerster in San Francisco is seeking a Client Events Manager on our Marketing team to lead end-to-end planning of a diverse events portfolio—large programs, seminars, dinners, and receptions—across offices, with budget oversight and on-site execution.

You will advise attorneys and leadership on event strategy, develop innovative concepts, manage timelines and ROI analyses, and mentor junior staff while scaling our events capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required or preferred.
• Experience leading complex, high-visibility events from concept to execution.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
• Supervisory experience and ability to coach junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of client events, including large-scale programs, CLE seminars, private dinners, and receptions across offices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys, practice leadership, and Marketing on event strategy, audience, investment, and execution approach.
• Develop innovative event concepts and agendas aligned with priorities to drive client engagement.
• Build and manage event budgets and timelines, with detailed run-of-show documents and multi-event oversight.
• Act as escalation point during live events and lead post-event ROI analysis and feedback.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Business Development on invitations, RSVP tracking, and Salesforce campaign maintenance.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to workload prioritization across Client Events.
• Develop team processes and templates to scale the firm's events capability.
