Job summary

Varsity seeks a Client Engineer to handle complex IT issues across remote and onsite client environments. Based in the Los Angeles metro area, this hybrid role blends senior remote support with in-person client engagement in the field.

You will escalate from Specialist I, perform root-cause analysis, and travel to LA-area sites to deploy technology, resolve issues, and strengthen client relationships in person.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IT support within managed services.
• Based in LA metro with valid driver’s license; travel to client sites.
• M365 administration across Exchange/SharePoint/Teams/Entra ID.
• Advanced macOS support with MDM and Apple Business Manager.
• Experience diagnosing DNS/DHCP/VPN/firewall issues.
• Generative AI platforms knowledge and prompts usage.
• Proficient with RMM and PSA platforms; quick tool learning.
• Assess remote vs onsite resolution and communicate scope.
• Strong communication; adapt to executives and end users.
• Professional in-person representation of Treeline.

Responsibilities

• Escalation resolution from Specialist I, ownership through root cause.
• Triaging issues to determine remote vs onsite resolution.
• Travel to client sites in LA metro as needed for deployments.
• Calibrating communication to audience type (execs vs end users).
• Diagnose at infrastructure level including M365 config, networking.
• Manage Exchange/SharePoint/Teams/Entra ID policies and perms.
• Provide advanced macOS support and security resolutions.
• Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall; coordinate with networks.
• Support AI platforms: Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude.
• Document resolutions; create reusable runbooks and patterns.
• Maintain multi-client environment knowledge and patterns.
