Job summary

Brooklyn Community Services is seeking a Client Care Coordinator / Case Manager Supervisor for the Family Shelter, overseeing a team of case managers and ensuring compliant, high-quality services for families experiencing homelessness.

The role conducts supervisory sessions, manages caseloads, coordinates with housing specialists and DHS staff, and contributes to reporting and program evaluation. A Master’s in Social Work with 3+ years of leadership is required, with some evening hours possible.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Minimum of three years of case management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Bilingual ability strongly preferred; familiarity with DHS shelter standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly supervision to case managers and review cases and service plans.
• Monitor caseloads and ensure staffing coverage and documentation quality.
• Coordinate with housing specialists and DHS staff for coordinated client support.
• Participate in case conferences, program evaluation, and reporting activities.
• Carry a small direct caseload as needed and support staff in high-stress environments.
