Job summary

Weiss & Company LLP in Glenview, IL seeks a Senior CAS Accountant to manage accounting engagements and advisory services for a portfolio of business clients. You will oversee monthly to year-end reporting, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide insights to help clients improve profitability.

The ideal candidate has about five years of accounting experience, including public accounting, strong technical knowledge, and excellent client relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• About 5+ years of accounting experience, public accounting a plus.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting engagements for multiple clients.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain client ledgers and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for assigned clients and maintain relationships.
• Present financial information to business owners and management teams.
• Support accounting software setup, conversions, and process improvements.
• Coordinate year-end reporting and assist tax return preparation with other departments.
