Job summary

You will build strong vendor relationships and contribute to bid reviews and customer alignment. The role requires at least 5 years of estimating experience, proficiency with takeoff software, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings for PCI scopes.
• Strong customer relationship track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail oriented with cost analysis skills.
• Ability to read project schedules and determine sequencing.
• Proficient in takeoff software and MS Office.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimate.
• Maintain relationships with area vendors for competitive pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside of our self-performing group.
• Understand market conditions to establish margins.
• Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams.
• Participate in customer alignment objectives by maintaining positive customer relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Hand off secured projects to the Operations team.
• Assist in change order management or billings as needed.
• Support other Estimating team members for product line collaboration.
