Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking a Senior Estimator for its PCI New England 586 operations based in Boston, MA. This role covers estimating drywall, framing, acoustics, and interior finishes for commercial, cleanroom, or biotechnology facilities, including takeoffs, labor productivity, and subcontractor pricing.

Requirements include at least 2 years of estimating construction projects, strong reading of specs/drawings, and excellent communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating construction projects.
• Experience with drywall, framing, acoustics, and finishes is preferred.
• Ability to read specs and drawings for PCI scopes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with cost analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work in team environments and independently.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
• Establish labor productivities for estimate
• Maintain relationships with area vendors for pricing
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside self-perform
• Understand market conditions to establish margins
• Involvement in internal bid reviews
• Participate in customer alignment objectives with positive relations
• Contract administration for secured projects
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules
• Hand off secured projects to Operations
• Assist in change orders and billings as needed
• Support estimating team for product line collaboration
