Job summary

Meta is seeking an Energy Portfolio Manager to join the Global Energy Team, managing a portfolio of clean energy contracts and carbon-related agreements. You will lead negotiations, ensure contract compliance, monitor development and construction milestones, and report on financial and operational performance for operating projects.

The role emphasizes building cross-functional partnerships, analyzing energy data and market trends, and driving efficiency through AI-enabled workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy, or environmental science, paralegal studies, or a similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in clean energy contract management, renewable energy procurement, or energy project operations at relevant organizations.
• Experience in managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar energy supply contracts.
• Experience drafting official correspondence and developing partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with G Suite, Excel, Word, and Tableau; demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ongoing owner for Meta's clean energy and carbon credit requirements.
• Create, maintain, and update documents and data related to clean energy contracts.
• Track counterparty compliance with contract milestones and deliverables.
• Manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and related issues.
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations.
• Track and analyze clean energy operational project performance and financial performance.
• Monitor development and construction milestones; lead risk reporting against schedule and forecast.
• Oversee approval and signature process for contract documents after execution.
• Support invoicing and reporting on clean energy contracts; ensure RECs, costs, and performance align with terms.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, accounting, purchasing, and other stakeholders.
