Job summary

Clackamas County’s Department of Human Resources seeks an experienced Classification & Compensation Manager to lead the County’s classification and compensation programs. Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of related experience.
• At least two (2) years supervising professional staff.
• Experience applying wage and employment laws (Oregon EEO/Equal Pay).
• Experience managing classification and compensation programs, pay structures and market analyses.
• Experience conducting job classification reviews and creating specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate the classification and compensation section.
• Oversee county-wide classification studies and pay structures.
• Design and maintain pay structures and conduct equal pay analyses.
• Advise executives and managers on classification and compensation policy.
• Hires, trains and supervises staff and handles performance issues.
