Job summary

Erie Insurance in the Raleigh area seeks a Supervising Claims Adjusters leader to oversee the activities of designated claims staff, train personnel, and drive performance. The role supports Claims Leadership, requires licensing, and may travel for Catastrophe Team assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six years of claims related experience required.
• Associate degree and four years of claims related experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree and two years of claims related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages operations of designated area; interviews, hires, trains staff and directs personnel.
• Reviews claims for coverage and reserves; answers questions; provides counsel on action.
• Resolves coverage and other unusual questions within authority; conducts necessary research.
• Maintains working knowledge of adjusters’ files and applicable laws; supports Manager with procedures.
