Marsden Services, established in 1952, seeks a senior risk and workers compensation leader to oversee casualty lines, claims management, and regulatory compliance. You will manage vendor relationships, lead RTW programs, and deliver training to staff while collaborating across departments.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Normal hours are Monday through Friday, with some after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, industrial relations, Human Resources or other related field.
• Eight plus years related experience with GL, Auto, and Workers Compensation programs and applicable laws.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to multiple levels of management and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Casualty Lines of Insurance Claims (50%): Directs the GL, Auto, and Workers Compensation program and manages the TPA relationship, expenditures, and program audits.
• Claims Review: Conducts action-oriented quarterly claim reviews with TPA, Risk Management leadership, and broker.
• Claims Management: Manage the life cycle of claims from intake to resolution and engage internal/external parties as needed.
• Internal and OSHA reporting/compliance (15%): Ensure OSHA reporting and compliance.
• Vendor Management (10%): Develops audit procedures for TPAs and oversees national clinics for injury management.
• RTW Program (10%): Develops policies for light duty/RTW and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Relationship Management & Training (10%): Delivers training and supports HR, Legal, and external counsel on workers compensation and leave programs.
• Claim Financials & Analytics (5%): Analyzes internal costs and works with actuarial partner on loss runs.
