Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Claims Manager – Commercial General Liability to lead a team of claims professionals handling General Liability claims across multiple jurisdictions. The role emphasizes technical excellence, operational performance, and customer service outcomes.

The position can be located in one of our claims offices with the possibility of remote work, offering opportunities for leadership impact and strategic initiatives within the claims organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ten years+ Commercial General Liability claims experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Three years of team leadership experience preferred.
• Active claims adjuster license or ability to obtain in applicable jurisdictions.
• Experience handling moderate to high severity bodily injury claims.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of claims professionals handling Commercial General Liability claims.
• Assign claims and workload based on complexity, severity, and staff expertise.
• Provide coaching in coverage analysis, liability investigation, damages evaluation, and litigation management.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering accountability and continuous learning.
• Oversee all aspects of claims handling including investigations, reserving, negotiation, and settlements.
