Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Claims Analyst to handle complex and high-exposure bodily injury and property damage claims under our self-administered liability program.

The role investigates and adjusts claims and directs defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, and other vendors. You will work with field teams, legal counsel, and carriers, set reserves, and monitor regulatory changes across US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 7+ years of casualty claims experience.
• Strong claim technical skills.
• Adjuster licenses required for various States; licensing within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directs defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts and vendors.
• Assists in identification of exposures and recommends solutions.
• Ensures compliance with laws and regulations governing Property and Casualty claims in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
• Alerts management to changes in laws impacting the liability program.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, carriers, and claimants.
• Supervises outside vendors for investigations, cost containment, and litigation management.
• Keeps adjusters and managers informed about claim status and reserve levels.
