Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an experienced claims adjuster to manage assignments from moderate to complex levels, conduct investigations, and settle claims in line with guidelines and state requirements. The role emphasizes subrogation where applicable, reserves, and timely customer communication.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of claims experience, with preferred experience handling New York or Virginia claims. A high school diploma is required; a BA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of claims experience, including ability to successfully negotiate settlements, verify coverage, appropriately set reserves, successfully complete investigations and understand rules associated with state regulations.
• New York or Virginia claims handling experience is preferred.
• High School Degree or G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives new claim assignments of moderate to complex nature and analyzes the claim to determine required investigation and handling.
• Performs timely and thorough investigations and necessary survey arrangements.
• Initiates reserve changes within assigned authority and makes recommendations when authority is exceeded.
• Manages and negotiates timely claim payments and settlements in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
• Maintains case diary and documentation; completes required forms and reports.
