Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Discipline Lead to guide large water resources projects, including dams, energy, fisheries, and infrastructure. You will direct multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships while aligning staffing with strategic objectives.

You will collaborate with senior management on complex solutions, negotiate with executive-level clients, and lead major presentations and business development efforts across diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 20 years of civil engineering/water resources consulting experience.
• Proven ability to lead multiple large project teams.
• Excellent client relationship management skills.
• Strong negotiation and external team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee extensive water resources programs with significant staff and stakeholders.
• Align staffing and training with company values, objectives and initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior PMs on complex business and client matters.
• Execute contractual commitments with clients, partners, and subconsultants.
• Ensure work meets risk management and quality standards.
• Maintain QA/QC compliance per client requirements and company policies.
• Serve as Project Manager for large, multidisciplinary projects.
• Mentor staff and provide guidance on management issues.
• Travel up to 25% monthly.
