Job summary

King Asphalt is seeking an experienced Surveyor to measure, inspect, update, and document land boundaries using advanced surveying instruments. The role includes supervising crew during stakeouts and multiple survey types, maintaining data accuracy, and producing 3D Carlson models for quantity and machine control.

The ideal candidate has a Land Surveyor License and at least 5 years of heavy civil construction surveying experience, with Proficiency in Trimble software and CADD tools.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of surveying and mapping instruments and technology.
• Knowledge of ALTA standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises survey crew during stakeouts and surveys (topographic, boundary, construction, utility).
• Maintains accuracy of measurements and records field data.
• Prepares 3D models using Carlson Software for quantity, survey and machine control applications.
• Assists operations in setup, usage and maintenance of surveying instruments.
• Schedules and orders survey materials and equipment to meet timelines.
• Works outdoors for long hours under varying conditions; follows safety rules.
