Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking an experienced Survey Office Technician to own construction staking projects in field and office settings. You will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center, mentoring survey staff and ensuring safe, accurate, and on-schedule delivery of high-quality surveys.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction staking, strong surveying fundamentals, and proficiency with modern survey equipment such as Trimble total stations, GNSS receivers,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as construction staking crew chief.
• Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and map prep.
• Experience with field and office surveying workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support construction staking, boundary, topo, and as‑built surveys.
• Prepare staking data and alignments for field crews using Civil 3D and Trimble BCT.
• Process and export survey data for GPS, conventional, and scanning workflows.
• Perform quality checks on survey data and deliverables.
• Coordinate crew scheduling and equipment tracking; manage field operations.
• Mentor survey crew chiefs and staff on methods and AKS standards.
