Job summary

Granite Construction Company in Texas seeks a seasoned Civil Project Leader to direct mass grading and large-scale site development within the Texas Civil Group. You will oversee Superintendent I personnel, foremen, and crews, coordinating safety, quality, and production across projects that may include utility-scale solar, wind energy, and substations.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of heavy civil construction management, strong leadership of multiple crews, and experience evaluating field

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction management or foreman supervision on heavy civil projects.
• Experience leading multiple crews and coordinating staffing, equipment, quality, and schedules.
• Thorough knowledge of civil earthwork methods, equipment, and material handling.
• Preferred: experience with utility-scale solar, wind, or substations.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership across assigned operations with pre-task planning and corrective actions.
• Coordinate environmental compliance including SWPPP and erosion controls.
• Direct earthwork, grading, drainage, and site development per plans, specs, budgets and schedules.
• Plan look-ahead, sequence work, and coordinate handoffs between operations.
• Manage staffing, equipment fleets, and subcontractor interfaces.
