Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. seeks a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on civil projects. You will supervise foremen, coordinate crews, and partner with the Project Manager to ensure safety, schedule, and quality performance on site.

The role requires 7+ years in field leadership, knowledge of civil construction, and experience managing multiple crews. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership position with a strong emphasis on safety and delivering value.

Qualifications

• 7 years minimum of applicable field leadership experience in site and/or mass grading.
• Knowledge of civil construction principles/practices required.
• Experience directing and coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of project-specific safety programs and inspections.
• Lead THA process and implement safety and EEO/affirmative action programs.
• Schedule and manage multiple crews across the project site.
• Develop a project site logistics plan.
• Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, and CPM scheduling.
• Review material and equipment budgets and monitor costs.
• Provide leadership in quality and safety programs.
• Document daily construction activities and maintain short-term schedules.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
