Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Utilities Superintendent to lead field operations, oversee self-perform trenching and utility work, and collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely, quality construction.

The role requires directing multiple crews, implementing safety programs, and coordinating with owners, inspectors, and subcontractors to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field leadership experience with underground utilities.
• Experience with Procore or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing project safety and accident prevention programs and maintain safe work areas via regular job-site inspections.
• Lead safety processes and coordinate with EEO/Affirmative Action programs.
• Schedule and manage multiple crews across the project site.
• Develop a project site logistics plan and coordinate with owners/inspectors.
• Review/interpret contract drawings and specifications; communicate with owners and trades.
• Monitor project costs and budgets; manage materials/equipment and bill of materials.
