Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Senior Estimator (Civil/Structures) with extensive heavy civil estimating experience to support highway and roadway projects. The role involves accurate takeoffs and cost estimates, risk assessment and collaboration with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

Hybrid work is available, ideally with IN/IL DOT experience. Preferred locations include Rockford, Springfield, or Indianapolis with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management (or related field) is required.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and interpret contract documents to provide accurate cost estimates.
• Develop preliminary budget estimates and itemized summaries for go/no-go decisions.
• Identify issues and estimate risk exposure with related cost impacts.
• Present complete estimates to support bid decisions and participate in pre-bid/site visits.
