Job summary

LCRA is seeking a highly motivated construction manager to oversee transmission line and substation projects across Texas. You will review contractor performance, read drawings and bid documents, and lead cross-functional meetings with stakeholders across the organization.

This role involves extensive travel to construction sites statewide to monitor progress on T-Line and Substation projects, and to ensure contractor performance aligns with safety, quality, and budget targets.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction management experience including 4+ years in leadership or contractor management
• Degree in construction, engineering, or project management may substitute for experience per guidelines
• Driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Create the Statement of Work for construction services
• Lead and coordinate with departmental stakeholders
• Schedule and lead construction status meetings with the project team
• Read and interpret construction drawings, bid documents and engineering specifications
• Identify risks and develop solutions through critical thinking
