Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a seasoned civil/structural engineer to provide engineering of critical infrastructure and project management for the Groton shipyard and local sites.

You will work across disciplines to size components, develop scopes of work, prepare bid documents, coordinate vendors, and manage field construction activities, while reporting progress to senior leadership and ensuring compliance with EB safety and procedures.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
• 5+ years post graduate experience in engineering or construction PM.
• Cross-discipline coordination across civil/structural and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and develop scope of work, prepare bid documents and select vendors.
• Oversee day-to-day field construction activities and manage multiple projects.
• Develop ROM estimates and business cases to obtain funding.
• Provide status reports to management and senior leadership.
• Adhere to EB procedures, safety manuals, and regulatory requirements.
