Job summary

Seabrook Solutions is seeking a Lead System Engineer, Civil, and Structural to provide technical leadership for NASA facilities at Marshall Space Flight Center. This on-site role requires a Civil/Structural engineer with a decade of experience, FE exam, and PE licensure desired, capable of guiding projects from planning through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; FE exam completed or in progress; PE licensure desired.
• 10+ years in civil or mechanical engineering with emphasis on structural design.
• Limited travel may be required and U.S. security clearance can be needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for planning and executing projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and methods within the discipline.
• Perform load calculations for equipment, lifting, and rigging operations.
• Provide CAD support for shop drawings, site plans, redlines, and as-built drawings.
• Conduct facility condition assessments on government facilities.
• Coordinate technical staff, drafters, writers, and technicians across project phases.
• Develop and recommend system approaches for new or improved products/processes.
• Conduct investigations related to material, component, or process specifications.
• May train engineers on technical topics related to research, design, development, testing and analysis.
• Provide technical management/leadership for project groups including cost, schedule and performance.
• Interface with internal/external customers from quotation to acceptance and closeout, maintaining records.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
