Seabrook Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support to NASA facilities located at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). MSFC facilities house a broad range of technical, program management and administrative functions that directly support NASA’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school.
• Ten years of job-related experience in mechanical engineering and design.
• Excellent communications and management skills; working knowledge of computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope, work statements, specifications and packages for outsourced work.
• Generate complete specifications for complex operations and repair projects.
• Act as an expert resource on engineering problems.
• Mentor engineering team members.
• May train other engineers on technical issues.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines.
• Establish and maintain a filing system for tracking project status.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
• Interface with customers from quotation to acceptance and test activities.
• Conduct site visits and analyses, propose solutions and alternatives.
• Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Prepare and submit technical papers and support technical proposals.
• Provide technical management and leadership to a project team.
