Job summary

Midrex is seeking an experienced civil/structural engineer to design 3D models and 2D drawings for Direct Reduction plant projects at ourCharlotte site. The role focuses on delivering detailed engineering packages for DR facilities with a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

The candidate should bring extensive experience with Aveva E3D, PDMS, and AutoCAD, plus the ability to travel up to 10% to field sites and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in civil and/or mechanical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in a technical environment, preferably related to heavy industrial facilities.
• Excellent technical writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to Designers and contract personnel.
• Create 3D civil/structural models and 2D drawings for the basic and detailed engineering of a Midrex DR plant.
• Travel to job sites to review existing structures and layouts for future plans and proposals.
• Check civil/structural drawings for consistency with company standards and design concepts.
• Coordinate work on projects with outside engineering consultants and other departments.
