Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Design Specialist to join our Lake Charles office. The role develops and coordinates civil design drawings for site development, grading, drainage, utilities and roadways using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software, supporting engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience preferred.
• AutoCAD and CADWorx experience required.
• PDMS experience preferred.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry required.
• Small/Medium project lead experience required.
• Ability to read and understand drawing markups and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages for preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables including engineering calculations.
• Prepare detailed civil/structural drawings with projections, sectional views and standard specs.
• Interpret directions to initiate preliminary designs and perform sizing/load calculations for foundations and beams.
• Check drawings for project applicability, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Prepare BOMs and specifications; revise drawings and BOM per engineering changes.
• Coordinate revisions and ECOs; assemble information from diverse sources.
• Support field surveys and document existing conditions; ensure drawings meet project scope and schedule.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants to ensure timely delivery.
