Job summary

Smith & Company Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale site work across South Florida. You will oversee field crews, manage production, and ensure safety and quality on earthwork, utilities, stormwater, and paving projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of supervisory civil construction experience, OSHA certification, and proficiency with Procore or HCSS Field. A valid driver’s license is required, with a comprehensive benefits package and company vehicle

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory experience in civil construction.
• Experience with earthwork, utilities, stormwater, concrete, and asphalt.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and survey data.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification required at hire.
• Procore or HCSS Field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations for major earthwork, excavation, utilities, stormwater, and paving projects.
• Supervise crews and subcontractors to maintain high efficiency and safety.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data for field execution.
• Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, and material deliveries to keep projects moving.
• Hold mandatory safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance.
• Track daily production metrics and maintain project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and engineers to resolve field obstacles.
