Job summary

Smith & Company Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale site work across South Florida. You will oversee field crews, manage production, and ensure safety and quality on earthwork, utilities, stormwater, and paving projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of supervisory civil construction experience, OSHA certification, and proficiency with Procore or HCSS Field. A valid driver’s license is required, with a comprehensive benefits package and company vehicle

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory experience in civil construction.
• Experience with earthwork, utilities, stormwater, concrete, and asphalt.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and survey data.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification required at hire.
• Procore or HCSS Field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

You will serve as a key operational leader overseeing large-scale civil construction and heavy site work projects throughout South Florida. How You Will Make An Impact

• Direct daily field operations for major earthwork, excavation, utility, stormwater, and paving projects.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in civil construction, site development, or heavy earthwork.
• Proven expertise in earthwork, excavation, underground utilities (water/sewer/fire), stormwater drainage, concrete, and asphalt operations.
• Strong proficiency in reading, analyzing, and executing civil engineering plans, specifications, and survey data.
• Demonstrated leadership capability managing multi-disciplinary field crews and subcontractors effectively.
• Valid OSHA 10 or 30 certification required at the time of hire.
• Hands-on experience using construction management software such as Procore or HCSS Field.
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 10 or more years of hands-on civil construction supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with GPS machine control technology and field layout methods.
• Background overseeing projects for FDOT, local municipalities, or major commercial site developments.
