Smith & Company Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale site development projects across South Florida. You will direct field crews, coordinate heavy equipment, and ensure safety and quality on earthwork, utilities, and paving efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in civil construction, site development, or heavy earthwork.
• Strong ability to read and execute civil engineering plans, specifications, and survey data.
• Hands-on leadership managing multi-disciplinary field crews and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily field operations for earthwork, excavation, utilities, stormwater, and paving projects.
• Supervise crews and subcontractors to maintain safety and efficiency on site.
• Interpret drawings and survey data to guide field execution.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to keep projects moving.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance across operations.
• Track production metrics and maintain project documentation for decisions.
• Collaborate with managers, inspectors, and engineers to resolve field obstacles.
