Job summary

LPD Engineering, a Seattle-based civil engineering firm, seeks a mid-level Civil Engineer (5–9 years) to join our site development team and support a diverse Western Washington portfolio. You will lead technical design, coordinate with clients and consultants, manage small to mid-size projects, mentor junior staff, and support business development while upholding LPD’s standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–9 years of progressively responsible experience in civil site development.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control, and site development design.
• Experience preparing civil engineering plans, technical reports, and permitting documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, erosion control, roadway and ADA improvements.
• Develop and review civil engineering plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate permitting, regulatory requirements, and ensure designs meet codes and standards.
• Support planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and closeout, including site observations.
• QA/QC of work prepared by junior staff before submission to project managers.
