Job summary

LPD Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Professional Engineer to lead a diverse portfolio of civil site developments throughout Western Washington, including educational, civic, parks, residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. This senior role blends technical leadership, project management, team development, client relationships, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Ten (10)+ years of progressive experience in civil site development engineering.
• Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil site development principles, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion and sediment control, roadway/site access improvements, and construction documentation.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, agencies, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scopes of work, fee proposals, schedules, and project execution plans.
• Lead civil site development projects from initial concept through design, permitting, construction administration, and closeout while managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.
• Perform site assessments, feasibility studies, and due diligence evaluations to identify opportunities, risks, and solutions and oversee civil plans, reports, calculations, and construction-related deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering design oversight for grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control, and site access improvements.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, specs, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate resource planning, workload management, and project forecasting; monitor financial performance and manage risks.
• Mentor and develop staff; foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
