Job summary

Popli Design Group seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead civil/site projects across New York State. You will supervise junior staff, serve as primary client contact, and guide project teams in design, analysis, and coordination with stakeholders.

The role involves site planning, grading, drainage, modeling, and compliance with NYS requirements while mentoring colleagues and contributing to department growth and direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 10–20 years of demonstrated site design experience.
• NYS PE License required.
• CPESC, LEED AP, ENV SP certs a plus.
• Experience in multidiscipline A/E office environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop/oversee site plans, traffic circulation, roadways, parking, utilities, grading and drainage.
• Manage team and delegate tasks to junior staff.
• Prepare/review technical documents, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
• Quality control of engineering work per standards.
• Possibly serve as Engineer of Record.
• Coordinate with clients, staff and agencies for permits.
