Job summary

Popli Design Group seeks a Group Manager to lead the Civil Group, mentor staff, and ensure technical excellence across projects in New York. You will manage budgets, staffing, timelines, and QA/QC, while guiding business development and ensuring financial success of the division.

You will coordinate with clients and agencies, review timesheets and deliverables, and drive staff development through reviews and formal goals.

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering is required.
NY State Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
10+ years civil/site design experience with state agencies and municipalities.
CPESC, LEED AP, ENV SP certification a plus.
Valid Driver's License and acceptable MVR required.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the Civil Group, mentoring staff and maintaining schedules.
Assist with backlog backlog and recommend corrective actions.
Review utilization and support achievement of financial targets.
Ensure billing reports are completed and reviewed; hold staff accountable.
Perform staff reviews and annual goal setting; manage staffing changes as needed.
Support project managers with planning, scheduling and technical deliverables.
Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies and utilities on projects.
Lead recruitment processes and onboarding for the division.
