Netpace Inc. is seeking a Land Development Senior Project Engineer with 4-7 years of experience for our in-office Chantilly/Annandale, VA location.

This Civil Site Design Engineer role emphasizes land development planning rather than construction focus. The ideal candidate will draft site and subdivision CAD drawings, design roads and utilities, and prepare comprehensive construction plans while coordinating with other engineers and architects.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• EIT certificate preferred.
• Experience in designing, preparing, and processing land development applications.
• Experience in Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
• Experience with Commercial, Residential, and Mixed-use projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to make well-informed design decisions based on civil engineering concepts and locality requirements.
• Understands and contributes to the preparation of full construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Draft CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans.
• Site Layout and Utility design
• Horizontal and vertical design of roadways.
• Preparation of erosion and sediment control plans.
• Generating hydrologic computations for SWM facilities.
• Performing pavement design computations.
• Performing site distance analysis.
• Preparing site work quantity take-offs.
• Coordination with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.
