Job summary

Netpace Inc. is seeking a Land Development Senior Project Engineer in the Washington D.C. metro area, based in Annandale, VA and Chantilly, VA. The role targets 4–7 years of experience and is in-office five days a week.

The responsibilities include CAD drafting, site layout, road design, erosion control, hydrology computations, pavement design, and coordination with engineers and architects. Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• EIT certificate preferred.
• Experience in designing, preparing, and processing land development applications.
• Experience in Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
• Experience with commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Ability to make well-informed design decisions based on civil engineering concepts and locality requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Understands and contributes to full sets of construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Draft CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans.
• Site layout and utility design.
• Horizontal and vertical design of roadways.
• Prepare erosion and sediment control plans.
• Generate hydrologic computations for SWM facilities.
• Perform pavement design computations.
• Conduct site distance analysis.
• Prepare site work quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.

Our Client provides full-service civil engineering, transportation engineering, land planning, landscape architecture, and surveying services to private and public sector clients throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

Location: Annandale, VA, OR, Chantilly, VA (This position is in-office 5 days a week.)
