Job summary

Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC (Van Cleef) is seeking a qualified Civil Engineering Project Manager for our Doylestown, PA office. The role focuses on private subdivision and land development project design, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 7+ years of related experience, and strong communication and leadership skills to guide projects from feasibility through permit approvals and construction

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; PE required, PA preferred.
• CME, CFM, and/or PP certifications a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive experience servicing private clients and managing infrastructure or land development projects.
• Experience in public testimony before Land Use Boards a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; GIS and Hydroflow experience a plus.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to represent the firm with stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with ability to lead and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for site planning, engineering and landscape architecture tasks.
• Review regulations to identify zoning and design requirements and prepare compliant plans.
• Perform feasibility, due diligence, zoning, and regulatory research for land development.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; support professional growth.
• Lead client communication to ensure satisfaction and timely delivery.
• Monitor project progress through full lifecycle and manage budget.
