Job summary

Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC is seeking a Survey Project Manager / Professional Land Surveyor in Doylestown, PA to lead land surveying projects, ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery in support of civil engineering initiatives.

You will supervise field and office staff, manage budgets and schedules, review survey documents, and coordinate with engineers, municipal agencies, clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• PLS license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive surveying experience with project management.
• Strong knowledge of boundary law, title research, and land development processes.
• Proficiency with GPS/robotic total station equipment and survey data processing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of surveying projects including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, and subdivision surveys.
• Oversee field and office staff to ensure timely and accurate data collection, processing, and deliverables.
• Review and certify survey documents, plans, and legal descriptions in accordance with state regulations.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and project schedules.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and efficiency.
• Coordinate with engineers, municipal agencies, clients, and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior survey staff.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.
